I started out my career as many other dietitians do; in adult nutrition. I quickly learned within my first 2 years as a dietitian, that it wasn’t my passion.
I started my first position as a NICU and pediatric dietitian in 2016. I specialized in NICU nutrition after completing a NICU practicum at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
As a military spouse, my family and I moved around the country many time, where I had the opportunity to work in many children’s hospitals and neonatal ICUs.
Working in different hospitals allowed me to practice nutrition therapy in many capacities and gain knowledge and practices from many perspectives and work alongside so many other amazing healthcare professionals.
While working in a children’s hospital in Texas, I met many families and helped many sick kiddos.
One of my biggest takeaways was that many families are only visiting due to acute illness, but that many needed more long-term feeding solutions and didn’t have access to further nutrition guidance at home.
With my patients in my mind and in my heart, I began my nutrition counseling business, Seeds and Sprouts Nutrition for Kids in 2020, at the onset of the covid 19 pandemic.
Over time, as my business and patients have evolved, I rebranded to Littles Nutrition in 2023, to focus on guiding kids and families struggling with picky eating.
Kids nutrition and helping families is my passion. As a mom of 2 myself, I understand the importance of balanced nutrition, and the worry and struggles that parents face every day.
My mission as a pediatric dietitian is to guide families with the tools they need to feed their child with confidence and create a healthy relationship with food for life.
